Tips with Rice |
|
I was just introduced to Daddy Hinkle's about 3 months ago
and I just love it. I had my whole family in from Florida
last month and fed all 12 with this recipe using the
original marinade and seasoning, no time in the kitchen,
which is what you want when you have company. Enjoy!
4 lbs of lean stew meat, put in the crock pot, sprinkle
with Daddy Hinkles wet and dry, pour enough liquid to
cover meat, I used 1/2 beef broth and 1/2 water. Cook on
high till dinner time (5-6 hours or longer)then add your
favorite brown gravy mix, (I used 2 packets) into the pot
about 15 minutes before serving over rice. This is just
Awesome!

When making scrambled eggs add a dash of the wet and
dry while stirring. Wow is it good. If you want a little
something more add some cream cheese to the mix.

Roast Hinkle |
|
Take one
Hinkle, (oh, sorry, that's one frozen roast) and put in
crock pot (still frozen). Cover with water or come
as close to covering the roast as you can. Sprinkle
Daddy Hinkle wet, dry, and two cubes/packets/or teaspoons
of beef bullion in the water. Add one cut up
onion. Put on low and let cook for overnight.
Add your cut up veggies and cook on high while you get
ready for church (or about one hour). As you go out
the door turn the crock pot off but DO NOT RAISE THE
LID. If the the pastor doesn't preach past noon, you
will have perfect roast and veggies for Sunday
dinner. turn the crock pot back on high while you
take some of the juice and make some gravy. Reserve
the rest of the juice to use with the leftover roast for
beef noodles later in the week. True comfort
food!!!!!

Philly
Cheese Steak |
|
Heaven forbid
you have leftover steak, but if you do you gotta try
this! Just thinly slice your refrigerated leftover
steak. Then throw it in a microwave safe bowl.
Put two slices of pepperjack cheese on top. Put it
in the microwave for one minute on high. Take it out
and stir it up. Microwave for one more minute.
Put some mayonaise on a few slices of bread add the meat
and cheese and enjoy.

Hinkle's
Turkey Legs |
|
This is my
family's favorite in the summer. Just buy a few
Turkey legs, rub in the dry, then marinate in Daddy's
liquid for 15-30 min. Sprinkle with the dry when you
throw them on the grill. Much better than the smoked
legs you get at the fair.

Marinade |

I buy the
little spray bottles in the health & beauty area at
Wal-Mart. I fill one the the liquid marinade and
after putting on the dry rub and piercing the meat, I give
it an all over spray. Works great!

Marinated
Fish |
|
My boyfriend
and I love to try new things. When I introduced him
to Daddy Hinkle's, he was sold on it. Recently we
took Orange Roughy fish, and marinated it in the liquid
and powder. After marinating for 24 hours we put it
on the grill. The flavor is AMAZING! We have
not tried it on any other fish yet, but plan to.

Beer Butt Chicken |
|
Ingredients: One Frying
Chicken, Olive oil to coat, Daddy Hinkle's Instant Meat
Marinade (dry seasoning) and one Onion.
Easiest recipe ever! Drink half your beer first,
rinse and pat your chicken, coat with olive oil and slip
the butt of the chicken over beer can. (They make a
rack for this. It can be found at camping stores and
Wal-Mart.) Coat with Daddy Hinkle's, plug the neck
with an onion and bake at 350 for 1 to 2 hours or until
golden brown and temperature reaches "poultry"
on the thermometer in the thigh of the chicken.
Yum!!!

Don't Forget Hamburgers |
|
Doug |
|
In my circle of friends I'm
known for having the best grilled burgers. My
secret? Daddy Hinkle's. I use both the dry and
liquid on the hamburger meat before putting it on the
grill. Rub the dry into the meat and sprinkle the
liquid on top. Let it sit for about 30
minutes. Wouldn't think about doing burgers without
my Daddy Hinkle's! |

Oven-cooked steak recipe |
|
By Lee Merrifield |
|
This is so easy and the steaks are great! Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Allow steak to warm up to room temperature (if you have time). Dust both sides with Daddy Hinkle's dry and press it in. Splash both sides with D.H. liquid and let is stand for 5 minutes. In a skillet that will go from the stovetop to the oven, place a small amount of olive oil (enough to coat the bottom of the pan). Place the steak in hot olive oil until the bottom side is crusty. Do not turn.
Place the pan in the 400-degree oven for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. (You will probably have to cook longer if you like your steaks well done.) |

How much seasoning do I use? |
|
By |
|
The great taste of Daddy Hinkle's goes a long way. You don't have to soak or drown your meat. Just use a nice, even coat of both the liquid and the dry. The amount you use will also depend on your personal taste. |

How long do I marinate my meat in Daddy Hinkle's? |
|
By |
|
Normally we tell people to sprinkle it on, wait a few minutes (5 to 10), and cook. If you are cooking wild game or a very tough cut of meat, you can leave it on longer (30 minutes or more).

Tips for the perfect grilled steak |
|
By Daddy Hinkle's |
|
Sprinkle a light, even coat of Daddy Hinkle's dry on all sides and press or fork it in.
Splash a light coat of Daddy Hinkle's liquid marinade on all sides.
Let the steak warm up to room temperature (no longer than an hour).
Allowing the steak to warm up will reduce cooking time.
When the grill is hot, sear both sides, then put it over medium coals to finish cooking.
Press to test for doneness (don't puncture). It will start off mushy (very rare), and as it cooks it will become firmer.
Experience will tell you how firm each cut of meat has to be before it is rare, medium, or well done.
Meat continues to cook after it is removed from the grill. Let your steak rest for about 10 minutes before serving. |

I like to buy steaks when they are on sale. I marinate the steaks and put them in freezer bags. When we have unexpected guests we just through them frozen on the grill (top rack) at the lowest temperature the grill will go. They are out of this world! The steaks are being marinated as they freeze. It is a great way to be ready for unexpected guests. |

Sprinkle and marinate with wet and dry Daddy Hinkle's Southwest on fresh salmon fillet then grill or rotisserie til it flakes. My wife didn't like salmon till she tried this. Serve with a twist of lemon! |
